Course Design

A Legacy Course Designed and Supervised by Ginjiro Nakabe

The core philosophy of this course design is how to maximize the enjoyment of every player. With this in mind, I carefully examined the course—walking it, observing it, and experiencing it through my own senses. This deep engagement allowed me to fully capture and translate my vision into the course.

Each hole has been designed to be as spacious as possible, with wide fairways averaging 80 yards for a relaxed yet strategic round. The 892.5 m² single bentgrass green remains stunning and playable throughout all four seasons. A key distinguishing feature of this course is the bunker composition—unlike many other courses, it includes only 29 sand bunkers while strategically incorporating 26 grass bunkers to add variety and challenge. The stunning green-side undulations, seven meticulously placed ponds, and a total of 55 bunkers—a combination of sand and grass—create a visually striking and strategically engaging layout.

As a designer and supervisor, I could not ask for a greater reward than to have players say, "This course was truly a fun".

    BACK
    167y

    REG
    316y
    FRONT
    291y

A flat par-4. There is a bunker on the right at 200 yards. Since the distance is short, laying up before the bunker is a good strategy. OB is on the left side.

    REG
    412y
    FRONT
    401y

    BACK
    158y
    REG
    138y
    FRONT
    112y

A par 3 over a shallow valley. Landing past the green makes the subsequent approach tricky.

  • HOLE 9PAR 4

    BACK
    419y
    REG
    386y
    FRONT
    297y

A downhill par 4. There's a creek about 190 yards from the tee. The green is three-tiered.

In Course

  • HOLE 10PAR 4

    BACK
    441y
    REG
    384y
    FRONT
    336y

A flat and long par 4.

  • HOLE 11PAR 4

    BACK
    399y
    REG
    371y
    FRONT
    343y

A downhill par 4 with a left dogleg. There is OB over the left road, and the right OB line is closer than it looks, so a 3-wood or 3-iron will be a strategic choice.

  • HOLE 12PAR 3

    BACK
    201y
    REG
    171y
    FRONT
    147y

Par 3 with a water carry. Over the left road is OB. The green has many slops.

  • HOLE 13PAR 4

    BACK
    417y
    REG
    383y
    FRONT
    365y

A downhill par 4 with a left dogleg. With OB on both sides, it's better to aim for a three-on if your tee shot falls short.

  • HOLE 14PAR 4

    BACK
    357y
    REG
    347y
    FRONT
    315y

Par 4 with OB on both sides.

  • HOLE 15PAR 5

    BACK
    566y
    REG
    540y
    FRONT
    512y

Par 5 with a slight left dogleg. The right OB line is closer than it appears.

  • HOLE 16PAR 4

    BACK
    401y
    REG
    344y
    FRONT
    317y

Par 4 with a right dogleg. Right of the tower on the right side is OB. The OB is shallow, so be careful.

  • HOLE 17PAR 3

    BACK
    208y
    REG
    190y
    FRONT
    167y

    A slightly long par 3.

  • HOLE 18PAR 5

    BACK
    507y
    REG
    492y
    FRONT
    472y

Par 5 with a bunker on the right around 180 yards. For the second shot, be aware of the water on the left in front of the green and the OB on the right, and accurately measure the distance to the green when choosing your club.

Yardage

*The yardage is measured to the center of the green for short holes and to the edge of the green for middle and long holes.
